If you are from the north or Hartford area; You could take I-91 S. to Route 9 S. You must Off Route 9 and take Exit 9. You could turn right, to the S., to Route 81. You could continue down Route 81 until you run into I-95. You could turn right on the I-95 ramp, and you could go about 1 mile towards Exit 62, then you could turn left off the exit. - Minors – Visitors under 18 are considered minors and must be with an adult.
- Fires – Some Camps allow Fire; however, each area has designated fireplaces.
- Season of Closure – To prevent damage during the winter season, all Campgrounds that the department operates are closed (January to April 16)
- Pets – Pets are only allowed in state forest Campgrounds but not in State park Camp areas. However, the Camp permits one animal and closely requires a leash and proof of rabies vaccination for dogs.
- Weapons – Firearms, archery equipment, and other weapons in the Campgrounds and forests are closely prohibited.
Covid Update- Due to Covid-19, some RV parks, forests, and Campgrounds are closed during this season. We recommend calling the park’s office before planning for a trip.
