Bear Country

If you are traveling in countries with high grizzly activity, you must be well prepared. You need to store your food in a way that would prevent grizzly or other lurking animals around the zone from stealing your food, especially in lodging spots that are a type standard nonelectric site where there is not much light available at night. 

The grizzly who has become accustomed to human food is incredibly aggressive and poses a danger to property and humans. Your lodging items in TL must be in secured storage like sealed cans, foil packs, and cans.

When it comes to non-food items like coffee mugs, plastic bottles, ice chests, garbage bags, pet food, boxes, empty cans, wrappers, and grocery bags should be placed in secured storage. Never leave these things in your tent or vehicle unattended, or the king of the woodland might sniff your goods and take them away. 

Suppose there are accidents where a grizzly attacks a human while lodging in-loop Twin Lakes, immediately call 911. If the grizzly animal obtains your food or causes any property damage, please make sure to report the incident.

If you do not want any grizzly to bother your lodging, it might be a good idea to stay in an inn not far from the zone. There are excellent hotels nearby to choose from in the surrounding zones. The management will randomly impose fire restrictions due to hot or dry weather conditions, in which the management will not allow charcoal fires and campfires.

Vehicles

Following the industry practices, Inyo Recreation will impose an extra vehicle fee per day for the second wheels in each single-family camping ground and on the third and fourth wheels in any double-family campground, given that these vehicles are not attached to the first vehicle by a hitch and hauled onto the site. 

The first two areas have one vehicle in motorcycles, and the management will regard the third and fourth bikes as one vehicle. The management will not collect an extra fee for other vehicles.

Twin Lakes Campground Regulations

1. To evade problems with grizzly animals, keep your food in resistant lockers if available.
2. You can only light fires within the provided fire rings.
3. You need to maintain the silent hour from 10 PM to 6 AM.
4. Pets must be on a leash and closely supervised at all times. You cannot bring more than two animals per lodging ground.
5. Some hotels nearby the camping sites may not allow any pets.
